The proposed airspace change will have no effect on the Spaceport's airspace requirements and SaxaVord Spaceport aims to support the MOD wherever possible.
10. The MOD is keen to reduce the impact of its operation on other airspace users. What mitigations would you suggest that would resolve concerns that you have?
Mitigations
Whilst the NATMAC provides a forum for discussion on - inter alia - current and future airspace demand and utilisation, it might be appropriate to have direct space industry representation at this forum, acknowledging that DfT attend. Understanding all airspace users’ future airspace requirements would be a first step to mitigate demand/capacity imbalances on the wider airspace/ATM network.
11. What feedback, if any, do you have on the Airspace Management (ASM) procedures?

No comment on the parochial activation of the FJAs (North in particular); however, this highlights the wider need to ensure that all airspace users are represented in national-level discussions regarding planned future airspace demands. By way of illustration, were the D701 complex, FJA(N), SaxaVord and other space launch actors all seeking to activate large volumes of airspace simultaneously or in very close proximity and space users were deemed a “national priority” how might the corresponding demand be prioritised. Similarly, what might be the cumulative impact on the surrounding airspace/ATM network
