Overview

Glasgow Airport is consulting on an Airspace Change Proposal to modernise its arrival and departure routes and the surrounding airspace to meet the UK Government's Airspace Modernisation Strategy. 

Glasgow Airport is proposing to make changes to the arrival and departure routes to introduce modern Performance Based Navigation (PBN) technology. We are also proposing to make changes to the Controlled Airspace (CAS) within the vicinity of Glasgow Airport.

Glasgow Airport has created a list of 'Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)' about this proposal. This document currently has a number of questions about our proposals, the airport and the airspace change process.

As the consultation progresses, Glasgow Airport will update the list of FAQs from the feedback consultees are providing.

Why your views matter

We are now at Stage 3 of the CAP1616 Airspace Change Process where we undertake a public consultation on the proposed arrival and departure routes, and changes to the Controlled Airspace (CAS) which have been developed.

We want to hear from you – your feedback will be used to help shape our proposal and develop the final design. It will also help us to understand in further detail the benefits and impacts of our proposals.

Our consultation materials, available at the bottom of this page, have been produced to help you respond to the consultation and stakeholders should read these materials before submitting their response. The summary document embedded above provides an easy-to-read summary of our proposals.
